APLEX Design Quality Assurance Lab

By focusing on new product development processes at the product design stage,
APLEX ensures quality. To continuously improve quality testing results,
focused resources and corrective action plans are provided.

About our DQA Lab

Design quality is what APLEX values the most. In order to provide a high-qualified product, it have to go through various testing systems. Such as IP test, IK test, signal integrity analysis (SI) testing, electrostatic discharge (ESD) testing, temperature & humidity chamber, display color analyzer and leakage current. By passing many strict quality standards throughout design process and following IEC/NEMA and other international standards, our products are qualified to meet customer’s satisfaction.

EMI stands for electromagnetic interference, which is the unwanted disturbance caused by electromagnetic energy in an electronic device or system. EMI can affect the performance, reliability, and functionality of your device or system, as well as interfere with other devices or systems nearby.

EMI Testing

The EMI testing is a series of tests and measurements conducted on electronic devices or equipment to assess their electromagnetic emissions before undergoing formal compliance testing for regulatory certification. Testing our signal integrity through oscilloscope. The oscilloscope can view the waveform of signal in the time domain. To ensure a reliable operation of our products, signal integrity is essential. It is the measure of the quality of an electrical signal. A good signal integrity combines with all the factors including high-speed data, impedance matching, shielding effect and electrical grounding.

ESD testing is an electromagnetic compatibility test. ESD testing simulates various electrostatic impacts that equipment might experience either during transit or operation. An electrostatic discharge test determines whether a product is in compliance with its ESD protective area and procedures.

ESD Testing

Using an ESD gun from electrostatic discharge tester to simulate various situation that the equipment might experience. Electrostatic discharge can happen in anywhere and anytime, therefore, by following the IEC 61000-4-2 standard, ESD testing ensure our products can work stably in normal operation and also can elevate the durability and stability of the products.

Burn-in testing is the process of increasing the quality of a product and its components by testing the operation of the components under harsh environmental conditions prior to service. Burn-in testing can help to identify potential failures and increase the reliability of the product.

Burn-In Testing

To subject APLEX products in environment that changes from -20℃ to 60℃. Burn-in testing subject our products in abnormal conditions for a period of time to test the functionality, reliability and stability. It ensure that our products can operate in harsh environments and can help detect our products’ status at the same time.

IK Testing

IK stands for impact protection, which is the degree of protection that an product enclosure provides against external mechanical impacts. IK ratings are important for ensuring the durability and reliability of products, especially in environments where they may be exposed to damage or vandalism. IK testing range from IK01 to IK10, the higher the number is, the higher the energy impact is. According to EN 62262 standard, APLEX implements IK testing in our own lab to assume our products are able to resist such impact.

IP standards are a way of showing how well a device is protected against water and dust. They are defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under IEC 60529. IP standards consist of the letters by two digits and sometimes additional letters.

IP Testing

Following IEC 60529 standard, spraying product with water at different pressure level and soaking product in different depths of water. To define electronic devices of ingress production from dust and liquid, there are several degrees of protection which called “IP”. IP range from IP0X to IPX9; the first digit indicates dust, ranging from 0 to 6 and the second digit indicates liquid, ranging from 0 to 9. APLEX DQA lab equipped with IP testing equipment which is rare, in addition, we could 100% make sure our products are qualified to operate in harsh environments.
