SiER series is our AIoT solution includes Modbus gateway and Ethernet switch, which support comprehensive protocols and smart visualization software.
The most basic but essential method to bring AIoT into your factory is to create a digitalize information environment. By connecting and exchanging data between devices and the edge through network, Modbus gateway and Ethernet switch play important role in smart manufacturing deployment. However, APLEX SiER series includes, SiER-G1101M, SiER-G2201M and SiER-G4201M for Modbus gateway solution, and SiER-S0802N for Ethernet switch solution.
Modbus gateway
APLEX Modbus gateway solution is the conversion bridge between Modbus TCP/IP Protocol and Modbus RTU/ASCII Protocol via RS232/422/485 serial and 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 Ethernet port. SiER-G1101M comes with 1 x COM and 1 x LAN; SiER-G2201M features 2 x COM and 2 x LAN while SiER-G4201M has 4 x COM and 2 x LAN. SiER-G2201M and SiER-G4201M both equipped with alarm function to immediately alert administrators when detect device abnormal. Nevertheless, SiER-G4201M additionally comes with digital I/O for customize application. It helps detect and log device status and to send a real-time notification as well.
Ethernet switch
SiER-S0802N is an 8-Port 10/100BASE-TX industrial fast Ethernet switch, which provides non-blocking wire-speed performance. It supports IEEE 802.3az protocol to maintain high performance efficiently with low power consumption; and with flow control, it provides fast and stable data transfer.
APLEX SiER series is constructed with rugged design and has passed shock-proof and vibration-proof testing. It is steady and durable by supporting wide range operating temperature from -40˚C to 75˚C, (SiER-G1101M and SiER-G2201M up to 85 ˚C) and wide range DC power voltage input, 24V AC with redundant power protection to prevent hardware failover and increase system reliability.
With comprehensive AIOT solution, APLEX develops software system for SiER series. The smart visualization software system with various protocols support edge computing and cloud computing configuration. Through the software, it has high flexibility and capability. It rapidly deploys to smart manufacturing management system and supports various database platform. Moreover, by data visualization, graphical information is much easier for users to read and analyze. Therefore, SiER series and smart visualization software system are perfect for applications in smart manufacturing, such as control management, factory automation, surveillance system deployments, data center, traffic control and more.
